International Webinar on Biohazard: Environment, Health and Safety (08-08-2020)

An International Webinar on Biohazard: Environment, Health and Safety was held on 8th August, 2020. The IQAC of D.K. College, Mirza organized the Webinar where Dr. Akan Das, Post-Doctoral Fellow, Institute of Environmental Sciences, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland, took part as the Resource Person. Dr. Das discussed the topic in details. He opined that hazards pose a serious emergency situation. Biohazards are the greatest threat of mankind and microbes are the main bio-agent for different diseases. According to him, sustainable living is the key to balance the ecosystem.

The webinar was anchored by Dr. Gargee Chakraborty, Associate Professor, Dept. of English, D.K. College, Mirza and was inaugurated by Dr. Kali Prasad Sarma, Professor, Department of Environmental Science, and Tezpur University. Dr. Nabajyoti Das, Principal, Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza delivered the welcome address. The technical support for the webinar was lent by Barnali Kalita, faculty, Dept. of Political Science and Manabendra Kalita, Faculty, Dept. of Biotechnology.

The webinar was the last of the series of four International Webinars organised by IQAC, D.K. College in the Pandemic Situation.
