The meeting conformed to the set agenda.  All the topics in the agenda were elaborately discussed. The discussion related to the upcoming programme to be held on the occasion of International Women’s Day and disbursement of responsibilities for the same led to the taking of certain resolutions listed below. 

1. It was decided that an awareness programme will be organized related to the theme of the year “Press for progress”. As a part of the programme a procession and felicitation programme will be organized. The procession will start from front of the administrative building. Play cards will be prepared by writing “Women are the root of progress”, “Educate girls, save girls”.

2. The date, time and venue of the programme were decided as 8th March 2018 in the college auditorium for the felicitation programme and the streets of Mirza for the procession.

3. The duties to be carried out for the smooth conduct of the programme were divided under heads like Making of Flex Banners, Decoration, Maintenance of discipline, Publicity and Anchoring. Teachers and Union Body students were assigned suitable responsibilities under all the categories.

As discussed in the meeting the women’s cell of D.K. College, Mirza has celebrated the International Women’s Day on 08th March, 2018 with much enthusiasm. An awareness programme has been organised by the forum. As a part of the programme, a procession and felicitation programme have been organised which is related with the theme of the year “Press for Progress”. In the first phase the procession has taken place and all the members of the cell and students particularly girl students (almost 327 participants) participated in the procession. Dr. Phanindra Ch. Thakuria, the Vice Principal of the college inaugurated the procession. After procession the felicitation programme has been started. The independent 14 Women of the footpath of Mirza market have been felicitated with a Phoolam Gamocha and as a gift a blanket has been given to encourage not only them but also the other women to come out and take part in the economic development of the family as well as society. All the members of the cell, students have taken part in the programme. The programme is very lively and encouraging and as the backward section of the society who have contributed much in the progress of the society but whose work have not been recognised. The programme is successful one as it is not limited to the college campus only. Thus, the programme come to end.

The meeting conformed to the set agenda.  All the topics in the agenda were elaborately discussed. Discussion for organizing a lecture programme on the topic “Student unrest and the present Society” happened and also certain things related to donations to Karunadhara, a social organisation have been discussed. Along with this discussion on requesting the Principal to give a room for Women’s forum have also taken place.

1. It is decided to organise a lecture programme on the topic “Student unrest and the present Society”. The tentative decisions in this regard are-

      a. Resource Person:

            1. Dr. Dipesh Bhagawati, Retd. Prof, GMC. (Psychiatrist)

            2. Dr. Jayanta Das, Psychiatrist. 

      b. Date: 15th September, 2018 & 22nd September, 2018

2. Karunadhara, a social organisation has organised a programme to give recognition to the permanent donor on 15th July 2018. As our forum is a permanent donor, so executive body decided following members of the forum to attend the programme

3. Members of the forum will request the Principal to give a room for Women’s forum.

4. In absence of the secretary of girls’ common room, other girl member of the Union body should be informed to attend the general meeting.

The meeting conformed to the set agenda.  All the topics in the agenda were elaborately discussed. An executive meeting was held to discuss about the formation of women cell under the teachers’ unit of the college. An executive of women cell, Kamrup zone, ACTA was held on 29-09-2018, in the Saraighat College, Prof. Bhabani Baishya, Assistant Secretary of womens’ forum, D.K. College and Prof. Jaba Kalita attended the meeting as representative of our college. In the meeting it was suggested to form women cell and be sent the same to zone immediately.

1. According to the discussion in our executive meeting it was decided that the matter will be raised in the Teachers’ unit and our forum has nothing to do for it.

2. In the executive meeting there was also a discussion about the proposals taken on the 1st April, 2018 by the central women cell.

All the resolutions taken in the meeting have been successfully fulfilled.
