Proceedings:
The meeting conformed to the set agenda. All the topics in the agenda were elaborately discussed. Under the ‘Others’ section of the agenda, an Invitation letter from ‘Karunadhara’ was read out. It was about a programme called ‘Anubandha Aalap’ to be held on 1st March, 2020 at 3.30 pm at Sankardev Krishi Bikas Kendra.
The discussion related to the upcoming programme to be held on the occasion of International Women’s Day and disbursement of responsibilities for the same led to the taking of certain resolutions listed below.
Resolutions:
1. It was decided that a talk programme on “Awareness of LGBTQ Issues” would be held and the Resource Person for the same would be Advocate Swati Bidhan Baruah.
2. The date, time and venue of the programme were decided as 7th March 2020, at 12:30 pm, to be held in the Auditorium.
3. The duties to be carried out for the smooth conduct of the programme were divided under heads like Making of Flex Banners, Registration, Decoration, Maintenance of discipline, Publicity and Anchoring. Teachers and Union Body students were assigned suitable responsibilities under all the categories.
Action Taken:
As per the resolutions of the meeting, Advocate Swati Bidhan Baruah was invited as the Resource Person for the talk programme by the President via a telephonic conversation. The idea of organizing a short skit on the Transgender issue was also suggested by the Resource Person during the conversation which led to the planning of the play ‘Prakriti’ to be staged as part of the programme on the awareness about LGBTQ issues.
Moreover, after further deliberation among the members of the Women’s Forum, it was planned to celebrate International Women’s Week, rather than celebrating Women’s Day on the 7th of March with a talk programme. As per the action plan, programmes were held on the first and last days of the International Women’s Week which were: “One day Sensisitization Programme on LGBTQ issues” and the Staging of the play “Prakriti” by B.A. 2nd Semester (English Honours) students on 7th March, 2020 and “Extempore Speech Competition” on 13th March, 2020.
MEETING 2- Executive Meeting in Online Mode

Proceedings:
The topics of the agenda were discussed in the meeting and the following resolutions were taken with regard to the agenda.
Resolutions:
After discussion among the executive members, the following resolutions were taken regarding the upcoming webinar:
1. The topic of the webinar was proposed to be “Employment Avenues for Youths in Post- Covid Times”, to be held tentatively after 20th July, 2020 in collaboration with IQAC of the college.
2. The Resource Persons shortlisted were: Dr. Jogesh Kakati, Principal, Pandu College and Dr. Buljit Buragohain.
3. The online platform Zoom was chosen for the webinar. In case of exceeding the maximum limit of 200 students, live streaming through Facebook or YouTube would be opted with the help of the faculties of Department of Computer Science.
4. Feedback forms to be made compulsory for issuing certificates to the participants.
5. Responsibility of making banner and certificates to be given to Jitu.
Regarding the revival of Jaimini in the form of online magazine of Women’s Forum, the following resolutions were taken:
1. It was decided that that the magazine would be bilingual and contributors could be from other institutions also.
2. The magazine would be made available in the college website.
3. The members of the Editorial Board comprised of the Principal as Advisor, Dr. Deepali Das as Editor, Dr. Jilmil Bora as Assistant Editor and Dr. Archana Mali, Dr. Namita Sarma, Dr. Aparna Goswami and Prof. Barnali Kalita were other esteemed members of the Editorial Board.
Action taken:
Pursuing the resolutions taken, the webinar on “Employment Avenues for Youth in Post-Covid Times” was organized by Women’s Forum of the college in collaboration with the IQAC on 23rd July, 2020.
The revival of Jaimini which was another agenda of the meeting was taken up as an agenda in the next general meeting dated 24th July, 2020 and the resolutions taken regarding it were approved and appreciated in the General Meeting.

3.Revival of Jaimini
Proceedings:
The meeting approved the resolutions taken during the executive meeting conducted on 10 July 2020 and discussed the outcome of the webinar that was held on 23 July 2020.
Resolutions:
1.It was unanimously decided that Jaimini should be revived as an online peer-reviewd book with ISBN number.
2.Theme for Jaimini is to be decided from tagline suggested on the day of International Women’s Day every year.
3.The target date for its release was fixed as 14th November, the Foundation Day of our college.
4.The advertisement for inviting papers for the same is to be displayed on DKC Website as well as ACTA website.
5.Editorial Board tentatively fixed in the Executive Meeting was approved.
6.E-mail-account for the Women’s Forum to be opened.
7.Record of Women’s Forum post holders to be digitally archived.
Action taken:
An online editorial board meeting was held to facilitate the revival of Jaimini on 3rd September 2020. Women’s Forum e-mail account was also opened.
MEETING 4- Editorial Board Meeting in Online Mode

Proceedings:
In the online meeting of Editorial Board of Jaimini, the above mentioned topics were discussed. In the event of committee member Dr. Namita Sarma’s request for removal of her name from the Editorial Board, Dr. Aditi Devi Choudhuri’s name was unanimously included by the committee members.
Resolutions:
1.It was decided that the main theme be maintained as “Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights” as declared at the time of International Women’s Day.
2.The sub-topics for the book were decided as Women Empowerment, Gender and Politics, Depiction of female persona in literature, Gender Inequality in Culture and so on.

Proceedings:
The meeting was conducted as per the agenda. It led to the following resolution.
Resolution:
1. It was decided that a donation fund would be raised for Ms. Taposi Talukdar, a student of 5th semester, Department of Geography who was suffering from renal failure and needed a huge amount of money for kidney transplant surgery.
2. All the members of the forum as well as other faculty members of the college would be requested to contribute to the donation fund.
Action taken:
As per the resolution, ‘An Appeal’ was issued for the donation fund for Ms. Taposi Talukdar on 05.11.2020 whereby all the faculty members of the college were requested to generously contribute to the fund. The ‘Appeal’ was well responded to by not only the teaching but also the non-teaching staff of the college, who contributed for the financial aid of the student. A sum total of Rs. 28,650 was raised which was given to the student’s family for her treatment.

Proceedings:
After announcement of the agenda of the meeting, the Secretarial report was read out by Dr. Aparna Goswami. This was followed by some interaction related to the report and then the prize distribution ceremony for the winners of ‘Extempore Speech Competition’ held on 13.03.2020, was conducted.
The new executive committee was also formed through voting and the charge was handed over by the previous committee to the new one. The details of the new committee were as follows:

Resolutions:
1.The posts of President, Vice- President and Secretary of Women’s Forum were not to be given to faculty members from the same department.

3.Yearly contribution of Rs. 200 for the Women’s Forum from women faculty members would remain the same.
4.New constitution was to be formed by the new governing body.
5.It was decided to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March 2021 and the following suggestions regarding the celebration were discussed:
i. The tagline ‘Choose to Challenge’ was to be used.
ii. It was suggested by Dr. Namita Sarma that the members could visit Deepshikha Cancer Foundation and offer an entertainment programme for the patients alongwith a programme of book distribution for them.
iii. An ‘Art of Living’ Programme for the faculty members as well as for the students was also suggested by Dr. Madhuri Saikia.
iv. A Demonstration Programme for girls regarding self-defence was suggested by Dr. Jilmil Bora.
Action taken:
As per the resolutions, the new executive committee that was formed held the Women’s Day Programme on 08.03.2021 with a programme on ‘Art of Living’. They also maintained the yearly contribution amount and resolutions with regard to membership of the Forum.
