Celebration of National Science Day
Commemorating 36 years of the discovery of Raman Effect, D.K College under the aegis of the Science Forum of the college and the IQAC celebrated the National Science Day on the 1st of March 2023 at the K.K.H Conference Hall of the college. The theme of the celebration was “Global Science for Global Well Being”. The program began with an interactive talk on scientific tools, “ChemBio Draw” and “Origin” by the resource person Dr. Anup Choudhury Assistant Professor (Guest) at the Department of Chemical sciences, Tezpur University. The talk was attended by 97 students of the college and 13 faculty members. This was followed by a quiz competition conducted by the quiz master Prof. Manash Pratim Baruah, Head, Dept. of Political Science, D.K College.
Out of the seven participating teams of the competition the winners were are follows:
- First Prize: Rituraj Boro (Pol Science), Karan K. Deka (Geography), Akramul H Pramanik (Chemistry)
- Second Prize: Shahid Alom, Apana Thakuria, Animul Haq (Geography)
- Third Prize: Aparna Das, Lipon J. Thakuria, Abinash Das (Physics)
The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. D.N Singha, Secretary, Science Forum, D.K College and Head, Dept. of Botany, D.K College.
