An educational institution is about building character, enriching mind and about stirring experience that lasts a lifetime. Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza is one of the prestigious colleges in Assam. Supported by the highly motivated and experienced teaching and non-teaching staff, the college is striving towards achieving all round development of students. The college, founded in 1961, owes its establishment to the passion for education of the elite members of the greater South Kamrup area as the untiring efforts of the common people of the locality.

I would like to welcome you to Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza. We have a great history in providing high quality education catering to individual needs and preparing young minds for the world of opportunities.

The College which started functioning from a small campus, now has to its credit a permanent set up with state of the art infrastructure. It has currently student strength of more than 5000 starting right from Higher Secondary to Post Graduate courses. The College has been imparting education in three different streams-Science, Arts and Commerce. Comprising of 24 departments, the College is involved in research and extension activities on a regular basis.

Located at the foothills of Maliyata, in the midst of the picturesque surrounding, the College has a fully computerized Centre, Language Laboratory, Digital Classroom, and Conference Hall etc. for the all-round development of the students. In the field of co-curricular activities, performance of our students is praiseworthy.

Our endeavour is to make Dakshin Kamrup College a centre of excellence. I expect that the college leaves a positive impact on the society at large in the year to come. Together we can go a long way to fulfil our dreams.
