Hands and Skill Training Programme offered by the Department of Physics
On 6th, 8th, 9th and 11th September, 2025 (four days) the students of Amranga Barihat Higher Secondary School, Amranga, Kamrup has visited the Department of Physics, Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza for the ‘Hands and Skill Training’ programme which is an integral part of their curriculum for the elective subject under National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).
Annual General Meeting of Assam Physical Society (APS)
On July 30, 2025, the Assam Physical Society (APS) held its Annual General Meeting at the Physics Department of Dakshin Kamrup College in Mirza. The meeting covered a wide range of subjects, and several resolutions were adopted.
Memorandum of Understanding
On 28th June, 2025 a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is established and enacted between the Department of Physics, Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza, represented by the Head of the department (FIRST PARTY)and the School of Technology, Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), Azara Campus, Azara represented by Dr Hemashree Bordoloi, Coordinator, Committee for Collaboration and Community, RDC, Assam Don Bosco University (SECOND PARTY). Through this Memorandum of Understanding, both parties commit to jointly planning workshops, seminars, public lectures, and online lecture series with the goal of promoting educational enrichment for students enrolled in both educational institutions.
Felicitation Programme
To honor the successful students who passed the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM)-2025, which was organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, a felicitation program was held at the Physics department on June 27, 2025. Five students from the physics department passed the test this year in total. Dr. Nabajyoti Das, the esteemed principal of Dakshin Kamrup College, graced the felicitation program with his presence.
