About the Cell:

The Career Counselling and Guidance Cell was setup in the college for providing guidance and counselling to the students about the various career prospects. The Cell also aims to groom students for various competitive examinations and interviews.

Minutes of various programs:

On 7th February, 2022,the Marico Company Pvt.Ltd., India’s leading consumer product companies operating in the beauty and wellness space, held a campus placement drive in the college in collaboration with Career Counselling and Guidance Cell. More than twenty (20) students from the science stream appeared in the placement process.
A career awareness program on Banking and SSC for B.A, B.Sc. and B.Com and B.Vocstudents was held on 5th May,2022. It was conducted by the “School of Banking and SSC”in collaboration with the Career Counselling and Guidance Cell. The resource persons from the School of Banking and SSC were – Akbar Hussain, Sridhar Mishra, and Mitali Das. From our college, 123 students participated in this program.
A three day workshop on career grooming and confidence from 27th June to 29th June, 2022, was organized by CEEKAY associates, Guwahati in association with the Career Counselling and Guidance Cell and the department of Economics. The number of participating students was 146.
A one day career guidance seminar was organized on 22nd September, 2022, was organized by the Institute of Computer Accounts (ICA), Guwahati in collaboration with the Career Counselling and Guidance Cell. A total of 79 students participated in this seminar.
On 11th November, 2022, the Cell arranged a one day seminar which was conducted by TCS under the aegis of the department of Economics to provide employment opportunities to the students. It was under their Youth Employment Program. Thirty seven students attended the training program.
Another seminar on Livelihood and Support was conducted on 15th November, 2022 by the Cell in association with Anudip Foundation under ITC Mission - SunheraKal. Seventy one students participated in this seminar.

Various Programs under the Career Counselling and Guidance Cell

The Career Counselling and Guidance Cellaims to create awareness on emerging career opportunities among the students across streams. In its endeavour, the cell conducts different seminars and workshop in association with various organizations. A brief report on such programs is given below.
