Webinar on Effective Communication

June 30, 2021 The English Study Forum of Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza organised a webinar on “Effective Communication” in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the College. The resource person of the webinar was Dr. Gargee Chakraborty, Associate Professor, Department of English. The talk intended to make the students aware of the importance of effective communication, the ways to inculcate communication skills and to understand and remove the barriers of communication. It was hosted by Dr. Jilmil Bora, Convener, English Study Forum cum HoD, English while Dr. Nabajyoti Das, Principal, D.K. College, introduced the topic and welcomed the students to the webinar.

Throughout the discussion session, students from Higher Secondary to Masters’ level remained actively engaged with the resource person as she brainstormed with them regarding the use of proper communication in various situations. They also responded to questions asked by the resource person and also put forward their own queries during the question-answer session. Assistant Professors, Aparna Goswami and Dr. Devajit Das of Department of English handled the technical aspect of the programme. The webinar came to an end with the sincere vote of thanks delivered by Adward Steady Sangma, Assistant Program Officer, NSS unit cum Assistant Professor, Department of Assamese.
