One Week Special Self Defence Training Camp For Girl Students

The Internal Committee of Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza has organized a “One Week Special Self Defence Training Camp For Girl Students” in collaboration with the IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell from 10th February -16th February ,2023 .Twenty eight girl students had participated in the Training camp . The Trainers for the said camp were Sri Tapatya Deka ,State Champion of Karate and Sri Debashish Barpujari ,a National Champion,Kung Fu ,both are student of Dakshin Kamrup College,Mirza .The Training camp was Inaugurated by Dr.Nabajyoti Das ,Principal ,D.K. College and has emphasized on the necessity of such camp to boost up the confidence in girl students . The inauguration was also attended by the Coordinator, IQAC Dr. Jilmil Bora ,Senior Assistant Mr. Jatindra Medhi , members of the Internal Committee and Faculties, participants and students . Dr. Bora elaborated the essence of the Training camp and encouraged the girl students to participate in such camp in near future. The Secretary of IC Ellora Choudhury mentioned about the objective of such camp, that will enhance the confidence level in girl students as this kind of training will bring positiveness, increase will power allowing positive attitude. Mr.Medhi also praised the steps taken by the Internal Committee as the camp will teach the girl students the skills that might be beneficial for them to defend themselves. The training camp continued till 16th of February, 2023. On 16th Feb, 2023 after the Training a certificate Distribution meeting was arranged . The meeting was presided over by the President of Internal Committee, Prof. Dipika Devi . The meeting was also attended by Dr. Jilmil Bora ,Coordinator of IQAC ,Senior Professor Pranita Kakati and Senior Assistant of Office Mr. Jatindra Medhi , members of IC, members of Dakshin Kamrup Students Union , participants ,Trainers and students .The participants were acknowledged for their active participation and praised for their performance .The Trainers were very hardworking and are praised for their way of teaching and wished them all success in their life. The participants also shared their experiences they get after Self Defence Training Camp .Finally the meeting ended with vote of Thanks by Ellora Choudhury,Secretary,IC . Thus the “One Week Special Self Defence Training Camp “successfully ended.
