Specialization : Modern Indian History

Area of Interest : Medieval Indian History specially the Rajputs and the foreign invaders, Sultanate and Mughals, Modern Indian History with special reference to popular movements viz peasants, tribals etc. against the British rule, Medieval and Colonial Assam History with special reference to Ahom period and struggle against the Company's Rule by the Aristrocrates, Peasants and Hill Tribes.

Publications:

i) Published an article titled, “Growth and Development of the Tea Industry in Assam during Colonial Rule: A brief Review” in ‘INTROSPECTION’ a book on Social Sciences and Humanities, August 2014, with ISBN-978-93-5104-144-3.
ii) Published an article titled, “Organic Farming” in ‘ABHIGNAN’ a compilation of papers, December 2015, with ISBN-978-81-925698-8-8.
iii) Published an article titled "Socio-Demographic Impact of Immigration in Assam during the Colonial Rule" in 'Rethinking Colonialism and Globalization, the historical saga of India from the 19th century onwards', 2018 with ISBN: 978-93-85839-22-1.

Book Chapters :

i) Published two chapters in the Text Book (Mod. Indian History) of KKH State Open University, Assam.

Conference/ Seminars :

1. Presented a paper titled, ‘Socio-Demographic Impact of Immigration on Assam during the Colonial Rule’ , in an International Seminar on ‘Rethinking Colonialism and Globalisation,the historical saga of India from the 19th century onwards’ 21-23 April 2016, organised by Dept of History, D.K.College, Mirza, Assam.
Webinars:
i) Participated in a National Webinar 'Pandemics and Responses, A Historical Analysis' organized by the Goalpara College, Goalpara, Assam on 3rd July, 2020.
ii) Co-ordinated an International Webinar on "History of Pandemics and the Role of UNO in Creating Socio-economic Stability during Covid-19 era" organized by the Dept. of History, Dakshin Kamrup College, Mirza, Kamrup, Assam on 7th August, 2020.
